Synopsis

Join Katie (from Autumn  Is Calling) and her cousin, Tommy, on a summer adventure in Appalachia!  Katie and Tommy are eager to explore and experience the outdoors at their grandparents’ house in the country. The kids get to help out in the garden, swing on a tire swing, catch fireflies and splash in the creek with their grandparents and Buster, the dog.

The story and the beautiful illustrations make this an entertaining and educational book for the entire family.

Katerina Boyer Case is an illustrator from Salem, WV, who loves creating colorful illustrations and expressive portraits that bring stories to life.  Summer Is Calling is the third children’s book she has illustrated.  Her prior books were Autumn Is Calling and Super Helper To The Rescue.  Through her artwork, Katerina hopes to inspire imagination, creativity, and a love of art in young readers.
